I love the web. I really, really, do. The whole tangled, chaotic, jumbled heap that it is.
You know, during this past semester, I had computer networks as a subject, and in the chapter on the world wide web, I really felt that the internet should've been regulated. Its growth, atleast. More restrictions, strict adherences to architecture, everything neatly arranged and very proper-propah.
But now I don't. I guess its the wild-ness and the lack of regulation that actually has made the web to grow like it did, and sometimes, when I'm browsing some obscure, weird website in html in black and green spots, that gives me Just the information I need, I can't help but be proud of the internet. And of this entire software community. I mean, where else do you find such respect for the people who are hands-on workers? Where else are experience, knowledge, and sheer brilliance the only parameters of how good you are?? Where else do you get the chance to make it big, even if you are a lone person, but have some know-how??
edit #1:: Okay, you don't make it if you are a lone person. But still, its a pretty cool industry.
