commit

I wonder how many of us realise this- Of all the decisions which we take in our lifetime, only the decision of who we get married to has the power of screwing up our life without any opportunity for redress.

I mean this very seriously. Most decisions we take last for three to four years at the max. Five, if you decided to go in for medical. (khee khee. ;)) But by and large, any decision you take, considered in isolation, does not have the power to screw over your entire life.

Now about that single, life-changing decision. You may argue about divorces, and annulments, but really, do you believe that you can start over again? It's not a slate to be wiped over, it's your life. And there is no eraser. Avoid scratching over as much as you can.

I guess that's why they say that commitment-phobes are the only people who realise what commitment means.
