Something that really gets my goat is how guys will keep on playing games with you. Now I like you, now I don't. You know what? Don't try to find out what's on my mind, don't beat about the bush, don't ask 'Hypothetical' questions for a 'friend' of yours, don't do the whole interested-in-your-dog thing. Most of all, don't play games, we can probably do that better than you. Way better.

Seriously, man up. Ask the girl out, and put everyone out of their will he-won't he misery. We're usually nice, we'll be polite if we want to say no. Actually, we'll be incredibly polite if we say no. And we'll probably remember you fondly for the rest of our lives. Then again, we may even say yes. Just don't dawdle, don't keep hinting at something and mostly don't look at us like that. Not for too long anyway. And if you do, just ask us out already.

"Words! Words! Words! I'm so sick of words!
I get words all day through;
Don't talk of stars burning above;
If you're in love, Show me!
Haven't your arms hungered for mine?
Please don't "expl'ine," Show me! Show me!
Don't wait until wrinkles and lines
Pop out all over my brow,
Show me now!"
-Eliza Doolittle (My Fair Lady)

These are times when I really GET what she meant.
